1 / Battery Management

Most quartz batteries last 2-3 years. If the second hand jumps every 2-4 seconds (EOL indicator), replace the battery immediately.
Never leave a dead battery inside — leaking acid causes irreversible corrosion to the circuit and gear train.
Have a professional replace the battery so the water-resistance seals are checked and lubricated.

2 / Setting & Accuracy

Always take the watch off your wrist before pulling out the crown to set the time, to avoid bending the stem.
Strong magnetic fields (large speakers, tablets, induction hubs) can temporarily disturb the pulse motor until moved away.

3 / Environmental Protection

Avoid perfumes, hairsprays, detergents, and solvents — they degrade gaskets and can discolor plating/finish.
Best operating range is -10°C to 60°C. A hot car dashboard can shorten battery life; extreme cold can cause significant time loss until warmed.

4 / Cleaning & Water Resistance

Wipe away sweat/oils with a soft microfiber cloth after daily wear.
10ATM/100M+ watches can be cleaned with a soft brush and mild soapy water, crown pushed in/screwed down.
Always rinse in fresh water after ocean swimming — salt is highly corrosive.
Gaskets dry out and crack over time — a pressure test every 2 years is recommended.

5 / Long-Term Maintenance

A watchmaker can check circuit consumption during a battery change; faster-than-usual drain may mean the movement needs cleaning.
For storage of several months, pull the crown to the time-setting position to engage power-save and extend battery life.
